FIA signal is eluting quite late

A late eluting FIA signal demonstrates an increased dead volume between theautosampler and the ion source. This will have an influence on thechromatographic performance.
  1. How long is the capillary between the autosampler and the ion source?
  2. How many valves are in use?
  3. Capillaries of which inner diameter are in use?
